I am Nuno.

I started my professional journey as an engineer in 2004. Today I am a strategist, an experience designer and an educator with an exquisite curiosity to solve real needs and problems, stirred with wise doses of sustainability.

My present work is focused on products, services and experiences, digital and non-digital, within the realms of:

I believe one of the most important things in life for a human being is to feel inspired by something or others.

There is a urge necessity today, more than ever, to find alternative ways of thinking about alternatives when complex problem solving, with the eminent risk of keep creating solutions for non-existing problems and promoting extreme harm to our Planet and Us, human beings.

My way of working prioritizes experimentation over elaborate planning, customer feedback over intuition, and iterative design over traditional “big design up front” development. This means understanding a customer is a real person with real problems, rather than a sales target. It also means digging for data that is user-driven and offers a deep understanding of a customer’s unarticulated needs. This approach helps reframe questions in a way that expands the boundaries of the search itself.

With this iterative mindset to innovation and continuing cycles of rapid experiments, tests and learning with customers, there’s a process to reduce risk, minimize cost and maximize the likelihood of building something great that people will actually want to buy.

The tools, skills, experience acquired so far across my academic and professional journeys from engineering, business administration and design, allow me to observe and understand what really matters in a savyy and intelligent way. It allows me to help teams to focus on getting the right answer than in being right, and to create the right things and create them right.
